Vineyard Volunteering: what to expect
A vineyard requires many hours of careful work and maintenance, most of which is done by hand. There is a huge variety of jobs in a vineyard, from picking to pruning. If you decide to get involved you will receive full training and the chance to experience this exciting industry first hand in the fresh air and rolling hills of Hertfordshire.
So far, we have had great fun with tasks such a shoot selection, all of which are accompanied by great conversation and delicious cake alongside our lovely volunteers. There is certainly something very therapeutic about working with nature, being outside and being on the move.
If you would like the opportunity to get involved at Lokkelebery Vineyard at Lockley Farm, please register your interest by ticking the box in the form below. When opportunities are available, you will be notified and they will be posted on this page with a direct sign up link via Eventbrite. We hope to see you soon!

Thank you to all those who have volunteered and continue to offer their support to the vineyard! Volunteer opportunities will be updated here regularly.

Volunteer opportunities are dictated by the plants themselves and following the guidance of expert advisors. Therefore, volunteer sessions can be irregular and are subject to change according to the demands of the vines and the weather. Certain works may not be open to all volunteers due to the demand for extensive commitment and viticultural training. We thank all those signed up to volunteering updates for their patience and enthusiasm!
